Fabric Inheritance

I’ve been trying to use some of the fabric I received from my late grandmother in my projects lately. A lot of the items on my Etsy shop are made from this fabric stash…

like these little fabric flowers, which would make great accessories for just about anything.

And I’ve made several more sets of coasters. They are so much fun to make!

Today, however, I wanted to use up some of the pre-cut shapes, so I tackled a little bit bigger project. Not too big, but a little bigger. ;-)

Look at all those 2-1/2″ squares!

So I put some together with a green theme and, following this tutorial, I whipped out a little reversible drawstring bag.

Hmmm, it looks like there’s a lot of purple in it, but there really isn’t, which means I’m just a bad photographer. :-(

Still not great lighting, and I forgot to crop the background. Sheesh! Well, it’s one of those days. ;-)

It really is reversible! LOL This material was from an unused fat quarter in my grandmother’s stash. It’s so pretty!

I decided to do a variety of projects from her supplies, then when I have a number of things to choose from, I’m going to offer them to my aunts, siblings, cousins, and nieces as keepsakes. I think they’ll like that.
